SportLoMo will provide a new Member Registration platform with integrated Competition Management and Event Modules for Domestic Rugby in Ireland.
The project will be called “RugbyConnect” and it will bring together a number of online tools in one fully integrated platform to support the IT strategic goals of the IRFU.
SportLoMo, a Mayo company, has provided electronic team sheets to all IRFU domestic clubs for the past 10 years, but following a recent tender process it has now been tasked with providing a total solution to manage the IT Requirements for the IRFU Domestic game in one central platform.
SportLoMo are a leading provider of software to grassroots sports organisations, and in particular to Rugby Unions, as they also provide similar services to Rugby Canada, USA Rugby, and more recently to Rugby Europe.
All members of the IRFU will now register online. Once registered, clubs will be able to communicate through the platform with their membership.
All competitions will be managed electronically, including the assignment of match officials and the creation of electronic team sheets for every game. This will give the IRFU unparallel business intelligence on game participation.
At the request of the IRFU, new modules have been included to facilitate the return to play. SportLoMo have developed functionality to allow clubs track attendance at training. Coaches can organise players into pods and track at an individual level who has trained with whom, in the event a club needs to support contact tracing.
Players will also be able to confirm their attendance at training and complete return to play questionnaires to support the IRFU road-map as they plan for the return of Rugby.
Clubs will have access to the SportLoMo Events management and a Club Website Portal which will display game results in realtime as match officials return scores via the SportLoMo Game Management App.
