The software platform is used by sports bodies worldwide to manage 1000’s of sports competitions, game management, membership, online registration & payments, events registration and management, learning management, game stats, referee/match official management, sports websites and sports apps.

Software Quality Assurance / Testing Support (x1)


The purpose of this role is to support the Software Development team with the development, implementation and maintenance of testing and quality standards and systems.

A good understanding of sport a distinct advantage.


The successful candidate will…..

  • Have 2-3 years’ experience as a QA in a technical environment.
  • support the Software Development Manager and the dev team.
  • ensure that all work/software modifications/bug fixes have been tested and reviews documented.
  • Responsible for quality reviews, oversight of processes and procedures and associated validation documents related to the SportLoMo platform.
  • be an important participant in all Validation Cross Functional Teams.
  • ensure internal and external QA audits are complete as per schedules.
  • support the Software Manager on major/critical software change implementation.
  • assist in the compilation and delivery of quality based training documentation.
  • oversee the preparation of customer documentation / audits.

Desirable skills:

Understanding of Information Systems, principles of Automation and system architectures.


  • A third level degree in a relevant area/discipline.
  • 2-3 years+ experience in QA technical role.
  • Enthusiastic with an ability to rapidly absorb new technical information.
  • A strong focus on quality and detail.
  • Strong ability to check own work and that of others for accuracy.
  • Ability to define and manage own tasks and schedules.
  • Good team, written and communication skills.

Who will this position suit?

Graduate Developer (2 roles)


Sportlomo is an extensive online platform leveraging a huge variety of technologies. This allows us to place a successful candidate on a particular project(s) that matches with his/her skills.  The primary development language is PHP.

The new recruits will work with our Software Development team to assist in the development of new functionality for our application suite.

The candidates will require an ability to rapidly absorb new technical information and work within a small tight-knit team.

A clear desire to live and work in Mayo is important.

Attractive skills:

  • PHP development experience.
  • Cake 3, the PHP MVC framework, or MVC frameworks in other languages (Rails, Django etc.)
  • RESTful API experience.
  • Experience/familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • MySQL
  • Version control systems (Git, SVN)
  • Unit testing.
  • Knowledge/use of UNIX systems
  • Cloud based architectures (AWS)
  • Mobile Device development.
  • Caching technologies (APC, XCache, memcached etc.)
  • Familiarity with Agile Programming Methodologies

A knowledge / interest / understanding of sport is an advantage

Essential Skills:

  • A degree in software development or related discipline.
  • a knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Ability to work as part of a team & individually.
  • Ability to deliver effectively against set targets under minimal supervision.
  • A strong willingness and interest in learning new technologies.
