Volleyball Canada, one of the leading sports organizations in the country with over  100,000 members has officially launched ‘Volleyball Connect’, a new learning hub for coaches, referees and athletes built on SportLoMo’s platform. The launch went live on October 2, 2025, marking a major step in making learning and certification simpler, more connected and fully online across Canada.

This new LMS builds on an established partnership between Volleyball Canada and SportLoMo. In January 2021, the federation selected SportLoMo as its national registration system provider following an extensive review process.

What ‘Volleyball Connect’ means for Volleyball in Canada

Volleyball Connect brings everything into one place—NCCP modules, e-learning, interactive resources and certification tracking—so users can learn, upskill and stay certified without juggling multiple systems. The result is a unified experience for admin, coaches, referees and athletes at every level, helping them grow and stay connected through one secure platform.

“Education is the foundation of excellence in our sport,” said Dawna Sales, Director – Athlete & Coach Pathways. “With Volleyball Connect, we’re empowering our community with the tools they need to succeed—whether they’re coaching at the grassroots level, refereeing at national competitions, or training to reach the podium.”

The LMS is fully integrated with all other modules in the SportLoMo platform.  Accreditation and qualifications are directly linked to the member profile for each role in the association. For administrators and members alike, consolidating all data within a single platform greatly simplifies data management and workflows.

Access and Transition

To access Volleyball Connect, members log in through Sportlomo using their existing SportLoMo account, this single sign-on keeps user data consistent across platforms including The Locker.

Volleyball Canada is introducing the platform in phases, ensuring all existing accounts, certification records and progress are securely migrated with minimal disruption.

Volleyball Canada is rolling out Volleyball Connect in phases to ensure a smooth transition. Starting immediately, the platform replaces the VC Coach Centre (VCCC) in several provincial and territorial associations, with additional regions to follow soon.

Volleyball Connect key features:

  • Centralized Access: One platform for all learning resources, NCCP modules and certifications. All data is part of  the member registration profile.
  • Interactive Learning: Engaging formats designed for all learning styles.
  • Accessibility: Available anytime, anywhere, supporting both in-person and virtual learning.
  • Personalized Development: Tailored pathways for coaches, referees and athletes at all stages of their volleyball journey.
  • Connection: A space to share resources.

Built on SportLoMo’s learning technology

Volleyball Connect runs on SportLoMo’s existing Learning Management System (LMS) and member Registration platform, a proven part of the SportLoMo platform used by federations around the world.

The SportLoMo system allows administrators to manage courses, credentials and certifications with flexibility and automation. The LMS supports course scheduling, tutor assignments, attendance tracking, waitlists, payment processing and automated email reminders for expiring qualifications.

Members can sign up for courses, upload credentials, view their development pathway and receive certifications that link directly to their membership records. All of this data is accessible from the members personal account via the linked Club Account.
