Speaking about their appointment, Seamus Kyne, CEO of SportLoMo said “We are proud and excited to be selected to work with Rugby Canada and look forward to meeting the needs of the rugby community at national level, within the Provinces and the clubs. We are confident that our member registration software, with the additional modules to manage competitions, electronic team sheets, match officials, discipline and player injury, will provide a highly integrated platform for Rugby Canada. We work across many sports in many countries and have a deep understanding of the technology needs of sporting organizations.”

The announcement was made during an Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission, led by Minister Seán Canney TD. Welcoming the partnership, Minister Canney said “SportLoMo is an excellent example of an Irish technology-driven company successfully securing customers around the globe. I wish them every success for this exciting new partnership with Rugby Canada”. Enterprise Ireland, the Irish government agency that supports the expansion of Irish companies into export markets, has worked closely with SportLoMo to successfully enter the Canadian market and continues to support further expansion across North America.

Following an extensive tender process conducted at the end of 2016, which garnered significant interest from the market, SportLoMo was selected from a diverse pool of online technology and digital platform providers.  As an evolving national sport organization, Rugby Canada used the opportunity to undertake a needs assessment, collaborating with all ten Provincial Unions across Canada.  The process resulted in a clear mandate to develop a streamlined and seamless technology solution to address all registration, member management and sport administration needs, including league and competition management, within a single environment.

“Rugby Canada is excited to welcome SportLoMo as the official supplier of the National Rugby Registration System,” said Myles Spencer, Chief Operating Officer of Rugby Canada. “This strategic business partnership will offer Rugby Canada’s community stakeholders, including the Provincial Unions, Sub-Unions and growing number of Clubs across Canada, the benefit of a robust technology solution designed to streamline the administration of our evolving sport.”
